Looking for a trip where you can fish and your non fishing partner has something to do or you need a compromise between fishing and non fishing activities. We have the fishing trip for you.
In a joint venture with the Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation, Arnhem Land Barramundi Nature Lodge is able to offer fascinating Aboriginal culture tours. You will experience traditional Aboriginal knowledge in action as local traditional people guide you through a range of environments and teach you about how people survived in this region as hunter gathers until the mid 20th century.
Spend time visiting various clan estates with Traditional Owners and see and experience a variety of country ranging from rocky uplands, woodland and floodplains and onto the beaches and mangroves. View ancient rock art sites and experience the beauty and power of this remote and picturesque area.
Visit the renowned Maningrida Arts and Culture Centre (the Djomi Museum), where you may purchase quality traditional Arnhem Land Aboriginal Artwork at rock-bottom prices.
We hope that each guest leaves with a solid understanding of the local indigenous culture and an insight into how it relates to modern Australian culture.
Packages are two, three or four days based on the following tours. Remember we are able arrange any combination you need to fit in with your schedule and fishing and tour desires.

The lodge will reopen on the 20th of March 2009. We will have some familiar faces - Dave Thomas our Lodge Manager will be back with a steady hand on the reins together with our regular guides from 2008, Rob Robinson, Mick Eddy & Andrew "Soc" Young. We will also have the services of Lance Butler, Benn Boulton & Jason Vickery, with Alex also joining the guiding team whenever time allows.
Dave is looking forward to not only all the clients enjoying some great fishing, during the coming season openers, but also providing a refined level of hospitality in conjunction with our new chef who specialises in gourmet seafood & game recipes. Other new faces on deck, will also see a new mechanic appointed. Part of our pre season preparations will be four new Evinrude E-Tec motors fitted to our Ocean master boats. One boat was previously upgraded at the end of last year. One of BRP's chief technicians will be at the lodge to provide specialist training for our new mechanic & oversee the installation of our new motors.
